[Pictures] UNILAG Students Take to the Streets

Enraged students of UNILAG take to the streets of Lagos to express their displeasure over the change of  the institution's name.

President Jonathan made it known,in his Democracy day broadcast this morning, that University of Lagos would be changed to Moshood Abiola University in honour of Abiola.“The Federal Government has decided that late Chief MKO Abiola should be honoured. In honour of Chief MKO Abiola, the University of Lagos is renamed the Moshood Abiola University", he said.

Movement on the Ikorodu road, linking to many other part of the state, has been brought to a halt by students protesting. With Police Men on standby to ensure it's a peaceful protest, students are seen with leaves, chanting "WE NO WANT" and as well carrying a frame that bears the picture of their late VC, Professor Sofoluwe.
