It is of importance to appreciate the power of publicity
employed by the organizers of BBAchase this time, the drama involved shouldn't
be overlooked also but shall we say immorality is now a technique for fame?
Let's talk Beverly Osu, one of Nigeria's representative in the game.
At the early hour of today August 14, 2013, I was caressing my smartphone, going through the popular Micro blogging site Twitter only to realize Beverly's sex gist is now a world record to behold. Beverly broke a BBA record. Sigh!
Here are some tweets justifying Beverly's action in the house, making her break a 'world record'.
@omojuwa: I can already see articles praising Beverly Osu for winning #BBATheChase and representing the best of Nigerian women!'. I wonder what our twitter activist meant with this.
"@OyinMavin: Beverly has that special anointing o'neal was talking about after all.. Her name Neva come up. I need that kinda anointing too. #bbathechase"
"@EvaAlordiah: Ain't nobody realer than #Beverly I Love you mama!!!!! #BBAtheChase". Even you Eva??
"@AfricaFactsZone: Beverly Osu Makes History By Being the First @BigBroAfrica Housemate To Never Be Up For Eviction #BbaTheChase".
Isn't the drama clear? Beverly is from Africa most popular and corrupt nation, her sex partner is from the host country. I leave you to judge the script and directorial approach but let's not forget the same girl called Beverly was 'exclusively' condemned some days ago.
The question is ; what is the aim and objective of BBA? Is immorality part of our culture? Should dignity be overlooked while searching for fame? Are Beverly/BBAchase good representatives of our Culture?
