Oke Emmanuel Seun, popularly known as ‘Da Cakes Master’, hails from Ipokia Local Government, Owode Yewa South of Ogun State. The first out of 4 children of his mother and the third child of his father. Emmanuel spent his childhood period in owode idi-iroko (Ogun state), he attended Ikolaje Idi-Iroko primary school and as well Gate way Grammar School Idi-roko.
In furtherance of his education, he attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere Abeokuta where he bagged HND in Business Administration. Only if Emmanuel had known that Sugar craft is his calling in life and something he is going to find exciting due to the creativity involved in it, he wouldn’t have bothered to learn fashion and going to higher institution. After graduating in 2006, he searched endlessly for white collar job, and at the same time assists his brother in baking cakes while he models under the tutelage of Mic-Dunamis Global Concepts.
The Okes might be different in terms of looks but one thing makes them the same person; what streamlets in the family; baking. Cake Master began his journey into the world of Sugar Craft, fully, after his younger brother brought home a huge order, with the magic wand, that transformed him into who he is now. They both worked on the order, with him as a helper, and the reward he got turned him around.
Oke Emmanuel, however, ventured into cake making with the knowledge of fashion he acquired before gaining admission into higher institution when he was “Emmy Finest”. This knowledge, in so many ways, makes his cake stand out. His approach to baking of cake can be related to drawing, sowing and welding rather than just baking.
Cake Master finds his job rewarding a great deal because one job always give birth to another and that’s how the succession keeps growing. His craft has been subscribed to by known personalities and celebrities. Cake Master has worked for Mrs. O. Odegbami, Nollywood actress Ayo Adesanya, St. Janet, Funke Adesiyan, Bimbo Thomas, MC Oluomo of Oshodi, Satty Ramon and he made the cake that was used to celebrate, Governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s 100 days in office.
He plans to go for advanced Sugar Craft in UK to make him Nigeria’s most wanted cake maker. In spirit of giving back to the society that made him, he decided to set up a training centre where people can be trained on how to bake like he does. He hopes to be as popular as CAKE BOSS that he reveres.
